Windows, Web And Mobile Applications

There has been an indecision for people whether to choose to use standalone windows applications, Web Applications or mobile applications.


The choice all depends on what you really want to achieve with your application. For those who would use an application meant for achieving simple tasks mostly done by one person, a windows application is best. Mobile application would best be suitable where the task at hand encourages a lot of traveling and mostly to remote locations where carrying other data processing equipment would be inconvenient. A web application is mostly suitable when the users would be located in diverse locations and need to relay data from far, but an internet access or network is necessary.
As of late web Applications have been growing in popularity due to ease of development, and a somehow universal access by multiple users at the same time. The recent improvement in development technologies like HTML 5, PHP 5 and Above , CSS 3 , AJAX and MYSQL, .NET Framework like ASP.NET has made it easier for people to develop web applications which are more like windows applications in matters of speed and performance.
For the upcoming programmers, choosing the type of applications to specialize in can be a challenge based on the so many technologies. Its always good to consider ergonomics, as in user's comfort, and the suitability of the application in the modern world as well as ease of maintenance.
